AUSTIN, Texas – Just in time for South by Southwest (SXSW), Norwegian’s seasonal nonstop service between Austin to London’s Gatwick Airport (LGW) will resume on March 1, 2019.
“We are excited to return to Austin with our non-stop London service for a second year. This year we are starting the season early, launching on March 1, to cover South by Southwest and meet the high demand,” said Matthew Wood, Senior Vice President Long-Haul Commercial, Norwegian. “London is our most popular destination within our network, and we’ve seen the demand grow from Texas. On the flip-side, Austin and Texas overall are becoming more popular as a leisure destination for Europeans— this route will continue to boost the local economy.”
The seasonal flights will be available three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays aboard Norwegian’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The LGW to AUS flight will depart on March 1, 2019, from Gatwick Airport and scheduled to arrive on March 1, 2019, at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) at 2:25 p.m.
